Woodland police are seeking several suspects who robbed employees of Umpqua Bank at gunpoint Wednesday morning.
Sgt. Brett Hancock said officers were dispatched at 10:25 a.m. to the bank at 203 Main St., where witnesses reported that two men armed with handguns and informed the employees they were robbing the bank. They obtained an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing in a van driven by a third suspect.
No customers were inside the bank at the time, and no injuries were reported.
Hancock described the armed robbers as being about 6 feet tall and skinny. They wore dark gloves and clothing, including hooded sweatshirts and black material that concealed their faces. There was no description of the getaway driver.
The van used to flee the scene was a white Honda Odyssey that police found a few blocks away on North Street, the engine still running, Hancock said. Residents of the area reported seeing the suspects get into a similar-looking gray van and drive away.
