Authors Robin Datel, Dennis Dingemans and Thomas Krabacher will speak about their book on the history of Woodland at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in the Leake Room at the Woodland Public Library, 250 First St.
The authors will talk about how the city’s history reflects its connection to local agriculture, its proximity to Sacramento, technological development, and patterns of immigration.
They authors are geographers at Sacramento State University and UC Davis, each with decades of experience teaching about the Sacramento-Yolo region. This book gathers images from the Yolo County Archives, the UCD Library and private collections.
The Friends of the Woodland Public Library will host a new member drive starting at 5:30 p.m.
The presentation is free to the public. For more information, visit www.woodlandfol.org or email [email protected].
