Woodland library hosts family event Friday

By From page A3 | October 29, 2013

A Dia de Los Angelitos celebration — Day 1 of Dia de los Muertos — will be hosted by the Friends of The Woodland Library on Friday. This event — which runs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the library’s Leake Center, 250 First St. — will feature live music, food, a raffle, altar displays and activities for children and families.

Hands-on crafts will be available for kids of all ages and will include some of the holiday’s most popular theme crafts.

Stop by and decorate a sugar skull at this family event meant to honor our loved ones and to create a sense of belonging through culture and art for everyone.

Each child will receive a free book.
