Yee will speak at Democrats’ Champagne Brunch

All local Democrats are invited to the Davis Democratic Club’s 24th annual Champagne Brunch, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at the home of Bill Julian and Robin Kulakow, 43556 Almond Lane, in Willowbank.

The featured speaker guest will be Betty T. Yee, a member of the California Board of Equalization and a Democratic candidate in the still-undecided primary election for state controller.

Those gathered also will hear from other state and local Democratic office holders and candidates in the November general election, including state Sen. Lois Wolk, Assemblywoman Mariko Yamada, Yolo County Supervisors Don Saylor and Jim Provenza, Davis Mayor Joe Krovoza and Mayor Pro Tem Dan Wolk.

A brunch buffet will be provided by the Democratic Club board of directors as will champagne and mimosa cocktails, wine, soft drinks and juices. Club members who wish to are encouraged to bring a favorite dish, salad or dessert. For suggestions, call Rick Gonzales at 530-758-2331.

The brunch spread will be served at 11:30 a.m. Live music will be provided.

The requested contribution is $20 per person and $35 for couples.
