Yoga studio vandalized; police seek tips

Davis police are seeking information about an early-morning vandalism that damaged a local yoga studio Thursday.

Lt. Paul Doroshov said today that dispatchers received a 911 call from inside Bikram Yoga, 405 L St., at 2:19 a.m. An employee reported hearing a loud noise coming from the front door and, when he went to investigate, “he sees a white male kicking in the door and screaming.”

Officers arrived on scene within two minutes, but by then the suspect had fled, Doroshov said. Police searched the area but were unable to find him.

The man was described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, 6 feet tall and 220 pounds, with a light mustache. He wore a black beanie and black leather jacket. Doroshov said he caused an estimated $500 in damage to the yoga studio’s glass door.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Davis Police Department at (530) 747-5400.
