Yolo County golf tournament enters fourth year

Golfers, take note:  The fourth annual Yolo County Peace Officers Memorial Golf Classic is scheduled for Sept. 5 at the Wild Wings Golf Club, 18540 Wildwings Drive, in Woodland.

All golfers are invited to participate in this fundraising event. The entry fee is $90 per golfer ($95 after Aug. 28), which includes golf, cart, lunch, dinner, golf hat and snack packages.

Team entries are $360 and should be submitted before of Aug. 28. Additional dinner tickets are available for guests and non-golfers for $24.

The tournament format is a four-person scramble with prizes for first and second place. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at noon on Sept. 5.

Longest drive and closest-to-the-hole contests also are scheduled.

Those unable to attend can consider being a sponsor or donating a prize for the raffle or silent auction. Hole sponsorships from $100 to $1000 will be gratefully accepted.

Proceeds from this event will go towards the Scholarship Fund and the maintaining of the permanent memorial in remembrance of fallen Yolo County Peace Officers, located at the Yolo County Courthouse.
