Yolo Democratic Party hosts Candidate Academy

By From page A4 | December 26, 2013

The Yolo County Democratic Party invites all candidates seeking office in 2014 to participate in its 2014 Candidate Academy, an afternoon workshop designed to familiarize them with the party’s platform and sharpen their knowledge of key issues for Democrats in Yolo County.

While the academy is specifically geared toward candidates who will be seeking the local party’s endorsement in 2014, all interested candidates are welcome to attend. Participants in races on both the June and November ballots should find the session useful, a news release said.

The academy will run from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Washington Teachers Association headquarters, 312 Webster St. in West Sacramento.
To RSVP, contact Susan Savage, Yolo County Democratic Party candidate development and endorsement committee chair, at 916-768-6097 or [email protected], or Chris Allen, the local party’s executive director, at 916-317-3910.
