By From page A7 | February 23, 2012

Yolo Mambo, a quartet specializing in spicy Latin, blues and pop, will perform at Rominger West’s Happy Thursday gathering from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The winery is at 4602 Second St., Suite 4. Guests will sip on discounted wine by the glass and enjoy “California comfort food” from Stone Soup Catering.

Composed of Catherine LeBlanc on vocals, Phil Summers on the nylon-string guitar, Carla Campbell on percussion and Steve O’Neill on the upright bass, Yolo Mambo’s sound brings to mind everything from Norah Jones to Stevie Wonder and Aretha Franklin.

A truly international sound, Yolo Mambo is influenced by the music of Cuba, Peru, Brazil, Trinidad, Spain and Zimbabwe, creating an invigorating, danceable sound for a lively and energetic evening.
