Yolo MoveOn members join Capitol vigil

By From page A4 | December 12, 2012

Members of Yolo MoveOn joined forces with labor unions, faith groups, student groups and others at a candlelight vigil Monday night at the state Capitol in Sacramento. They gathered to remind Congress to “defend Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security for working and middle-class Americans,” a news release said.

Members are asking for no tax breaks for the richest 2 percent of Americans and no cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.

Yolo MoveOn Council works together with councils all over the country to push for progressive change. People interested in joining may find the Yolo MoveOn Council on the web or call Judith at 530-219-0800 or Jean at 530-756-3484 to receive further information in joining.
