The sixth annual Yolo County Philanthropy Day will take place Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the atrium of the Yolo County Administration Building, 625 Court St., Woodland.
“Local nonprofit organizations are invited to honor one of their dedicated donors or volunteers at this event,” said Meg Stallard, president of the board of the Yolo Community Foundation, which sponsors the event. “So much of the good that happens in Yolo County occurs because of loyal and hard-working people who too often go unrecognized publicly.”
Nominations for the honors to be presented that night are due Nov. 7. Past organizations honoring their donors and volunteers have been Yolo County Children’s Alliance, the Woodland Opera House, Yolo Family Service Agency, Freedom From Hunger, Yolo Family Resource Center, Woodland Literacy Council and Yolo Arts, among others.
Organizations may nominate one donor or volunteer. Light refreshments will be served and reservations are appreciated.
