Baseball games prompt Yolobus detours

By March 28, 2011

Beginning Thursday, April 7, Sacramento River Cats baseball games will force Yolobus detours in West Sacramento. Ballpark Drive will be closed 90 minutes before the start of games, and will remain closed until approximately 30 minutes after the game concludes.

All eastbound buses going to downtown Sacramento will detour via Highway 50 (Pioneer Bridge), to Interstate 5, to Q Street.

During the detour, any riders from West Sacramento or Davis wishing to take Yolobus to Raley Field should get off at the West Sacramento Transit Center and walk approximately ¾ miles (15 to 20 minutes) to Raley Field’s southeast entrance (via West Capitol to Third Street). Riders coming from downtown Sacramento can get off on West Capitol at Third Street or Third Street at G Street.

This detour will be in effect during all River Cats game days until mid-May, when the city of West Sacramento expects to reopen the Tower Bridge Gateway between Garden Street and the Tower Bridge.
