Plugging a leak

By From page A2 | February 19, 2014

PG&E workers survey the scene of a natural gas leak that resulted in the evacuation of about 25 people from a South Davis apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. Davis Fire Department Division Chief Bruce Fry said a construction crew accidentally severed the 1-inch gas line at about 1:30 p.m. while performing work at the Owendale Community complex, 3023 Albany Ave. The evacuation lasted about 20 minutes, and no injuries or illnesses were reported as a result of the leak, Fry said. A PG&E crew responded to the scene to repair the line.
