Approximately 200 students stopped to watch as the UC Davis police removed tents set up by the Occupy UC Davis protest on the Quad. Wayne Tilcock/Enterprise photo
@JD: You obviously have not see the 8 minute video of this during which the crowd literally chants the cops out of the park.
They cluster together and retreat in obvious bewilderment.
They are just another bunch of corporate thugs.
Lt Pike should be charged with criminal assault.
Good job my ass! If folks like you ever bothered to find the real story, maybe you wouldn’t post such ignorant platitudes.
Robert L Mclaughlin
This should be stamped on the minds of all peace loving people, the authorities have escalated this to the level of war crimes and by their actions only make the movement stronger and more determined. The only thing they havent done yet is use lethal force ,but as the movement grows, and the authorities become increasingly desperate, that is coming. REMEMEMBER KENT STATE.
Peace
I think this “police officer” should be fired. This is an obvious abuse of power. The students’ behavior is admirable and shows great restraint and sel-discipline.

Cops should be disciplined for excessive force – and I don’t mean an exile to Staten Island.
