Aug. 31, 1930 — Oct. 18, 2013

Cecil Weintraub passed away on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 at the age of 83 in his Davis home surrounded by his family.

He was born on Aug. 31, 1930, in San Francisco, where he grew up.  Cecil graduated from Washington High School and later graduated from UC Berkeley with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. There, he met his wife, Nanette.  They were married 52 wonderful years.

Cecil was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, friend, professional and humanitarian. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, playing racquetball, but most of all spending time with his family.  Cecil is survived by his children, Lloyd, Jon and Laurel, and his grandchildren, Brandon, Rebecca and Nathan.  Cecil was a very special person who will be missed by many.  His love and wisdom will live in each of us always.  We love him very much.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at Laurel’s home.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Congregation Bet Haverim Campership fund, 1715 Anderson Rd., Davis, CA 95616.
