Charlotte Susan Ainsworth Cassidy
Charlotte “Susy” Cassidy died peacefully on Sept. 26, 2012. Born in Chippewa Falls, Wis., she moved to California when she married her husband, Brooks, in 1945. She received her degree from UC Berkeley in early childhood education but stayed home for many years to raise her children, volunteering in many capacities. She later became a preschool teacher for the Sacramento School District.
After her retirement, she enjoyed singing in her church choir, exercising with her aerobics group, gardening, attending PEO meetings, and socializing with her friend, Joe Carey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brooks and her son Pete. She is survived by her son Mike, daughter Martha, daughter-in-laws Gail and Donna, son-in-law Bob, and grandsons Ryan and Eric and granddaughter-in-law Nina. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Private family services will take place at a later date.
