Death notice: Carl Ernest Spilman

Carl Ernest Spilman of El Macero died on Jan. 8, 2013, at the age of 91. He was a member, director and president of many local organizations and charitable societies. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Fremont Presbyterian Church, 5770 Carlson Drive in Sacramento, with a reception following. Remembrances in lieu of flowers may be made to Fremont Presbyterian Church or the Sacramento Scottish Rite Temple Childhood Learning Center.
