Death notice: Phyllis Ann Bramson

Phyllis Ann Bramson of Davis passed away at her home on Jan. 23, 2013, after nearly two years of battle against ovarian cancer. She served in the Office of Legislative Analyst, the Office of Willie L. Brown, Jr., Speaker of the California State Assembly, as branch chief for the state Department of Health’s Women, Infants and Children’s program and later as Director and Assistant Superintendent of Public Instruction for the Nutrition Services Division of the Department of Education for 10 years. A celebration of Phyllis’ life is planned; information will be provided in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund; WIC; the George Bramson Memorial Scholarship at CSU Sacramento; or the Alzheimer’s Association, Northern California chapter.
