Little, Eleanor

Eleanore Pennell Little (née Henderson) died peacefully at St. John’s Retirement Village in Woodland on Oct. 4, 2013.

Born on June 13, 1927, in Santa Barbara, Ellie was a resident of Davis for almost 50 years, where she volunteered for many organizations, including the Davis Community Church, Davis public schools and the Girl Scouts. She was a founding member of Summer House Inc., and served as board president, secretary, and board member. She was also on the board of Yolo Employment Services.

Ellie loved the mountains (especially Yosemite), the Northern California coast, music, animals, the Giants and, most of all, her family.

Ellie was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Alexander Robert Little. She is survived by her children, Bonnie and husband Noel, Anne and husband Ken, Cindy and husband David, Debbie, and Alec and wife Priscilla; and grandchildren Sara, Anna and Jonathan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Summer House, Inc. at P.O. Box 1724, Woodland, CA 95776.
