James Y. Olsen

James Y. Olsen passed away on Jan. 21, 2011, at age 65. Jim was a friend to all who knew him. He was a cheerful and polite man who never complained. He was a dedicated employee who enjoyed and took great pride in his work as a bookkeeper at TCC Properties Inc. for more than 30 years. Intelligent and unassuming, he was welcomed and respected by everyone he worked with. Jim will be irreplaceable.

Jim graduated from Chico State College in 1969 with a degree in business administration. He was a key player on the Division II national championship golf team at Chico State in 1967. He was a popular member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity.

Jim enjoyed cooking and was famous for his Thanksgiving dinners. He loved watching football games on TV, attending the ice cream socials at The Californian, and giving attention to his beloved dog, Alice.

Jim is survived by his sister, Carol Lee Stober of Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

At Jim’s request, no services will be held.
