Janis Kathryn Barrow
Nov. 24, 1953 – September 23, 2012
Janis Kathryn Barrow passed away in Woodland from liver cancer, with family and friends present to send her off with the angels.
She was born to Alfred Robert Merrell and Rebecca Virginia Wagner in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Nov. 24, 1953.
She is survived by her loving husband of 24 years and friend, Brian D. Barrow; son, Jason Ohnemus; and sisters, Donna Graboff and Laura Marello.
Janis was a senior marketing representative for Mercury Insurance and was involved in the insurance industry for 20-plus years.
She will be missed by so many extended family and friends and remembered as an excellent cook, artist, decorator and lover of life.
A celebration of life was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Woodland Hotel. Donations in her name may be made to the AIDS Foundation and the American Cancer Society.
