Oct. 15, 1921 — Feb. 6, 2013

Florence Jean Conway passed away on Feb. 6, 2013, at the age of 91.

Jean was born on Oct. 15, 1921, in Mountain View, to Arthur and Hazel (Smith) Hendrickson and grew up in Davis. She married Richard D. Conway on May 12, 1942, in the Davis Community Church.

For many years her family lived at the Black Butte Ranch in Orland, where she raised a family with her husband. She was a happy homemaker, gardener, bridge player and volunteer for the Children’s Home Society.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, her sister Lois Shumway and her brother Arthur Hendrickson Jr.

Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda Jean McHenry of Davis; son Gregg Conway of Red Bluff; grandchildren Lindsay Jean McHenry of Milwaukee, Annalisa Jane McHenry of Oakland and Kimberly Elliot of New Orleans; and three great-grandchildren.

At Jean’s request there will be no services. Cremation will be followed by private inurnment. If you wish, please send donations to St. Elizabeth Hospice, 1425 Vista Way, Red Bluff, CA 96080.
