Railroad museum will host Aberbach memorial

By From page A4 | August 20, 2014

A celebration of life for Jeffrey O. Aberbach, a longtime Davis Enterprise editor who died June 27, 2014, is planned for 6:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13.

The California State Railroad Museum Roundhouse, 125 I St. in Old Sacramento, is a fitting venue for the event, because Aberbach was a lifelong train lover and a longtime docent at the museum.

“Bring your favorite ‘Jeff story’ to share,” his family says. A light buffet will be served.

RSVP by Aug. 25 to Susannah Rominger at the museum, [email protected] or 916-324-3747.

Aberbach, 60, came to The Enterprise in 1979 and covered county government and agriculture, then served as the news editor from 1982 to 1999. Most recently, he was the lead publications editor at CalRecycle, the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery in Sacramento.
