Jonathan Eric Hollander
July 26, 1974 — July 23, 2014
Our beloved Jonathan died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Portland, Ore., from complications of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Jonathan attended Holmes Junior High and graduated from Davis High School in 1992. He joined the Navy and traveled extensively throughout the Persian Gulf aboard the aircraft carrier Carl Vincent. He received an honorable/medical retirement from the Navy and then attended Rocky Mountain School of Photography in Montana, where he received many honors and tributes for his photography.
Jonathan made friends wherever he went. His favorite activity was to reconnect with his old friends from Davis, Santa Fe, Tasmania, and all over California and Oregon.
He leaves behind his heartbroken family: his wife Kari Olsen Hollander, and daughters Sabrina Elle and Isis Jaye of Portland; his brother David Hollander (Bridget) and their children Delenn and Arthur of Beaverton; his sister Anna Beth of Davis; and his parents Neil and Jeri Hollander of Davis.
