Feb. 28, 1976 — July 3, 2011

Jonathan Andrew Tessler passed away on July 3, 2011, following a heart attack in Scottsdale, Ariz. Jonathan was born Feb. 28, 1976, and was 35 years old.

Jonathan was born in Hollywood and was adopted at birth. He moved to Davis with his family and attended Davis Senior High School. Jonathan loved the outdoors and working with his hands. He worked as a carpenter and a grip in motion picture productions. Jonathan’s sweet, gentle spirit will be remembered by his loving family and large circle of friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother Diane Tessler of Los Angeles.

He is survived by his father Stephen; step-mother Courtenay; sisters Amy, Elena and Jessie; and grandmother Judy Tessler.

A private memorial service was held on July 17, 2011. In remembrance of Jonathan, a fund has been established with Davis Joint Unified School District to provide drug education to students and families. The family requests that donations be sent to Business Office, DJUSD, 526 B St., Davis, CA 95616. Please make checks payable to DJUSD, including a notation in the memo section for: Drug Education Fund.
