Kartar Kaur Rehal

Kartar Kaur Rehal of Davis passed away Oct. 8, 2012, at 93.
Originally from Punjab, India, Rehal spent the last 30 years in Northern California. She enjoyed daily morning walks around Patwin Elementary, taking care of her grandchildren, praying, knitting, cooking and gardening. She is remembered for her fierce independence, loving and caring personality, and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her two sons, Jagjit Rehal (Rajinder) and Gurdip Rehal (Surinder); her grandchildren Ravneet, Harneet, Harnek, Ruby, Remy, Renu and Richie; six great-grandchildren; and her best friend and constant companion Surjit Soor (Surinder’s mother).
Funeral services will run from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at North Sacramento Funeral Home, 725 El Camino Ave., followed by a prayer service at West Sacramento Sikh Temple, 2301 Evergreen Ave.
