Linda Lee Ogner

Jan. 8, 1950 — April 27, 2014

Linda Ogner, 64, of Woodland, died on Sunday, April 27, 2014.

Born in Davis on Jan. 8, 1950, Linda was the daughter of the late Richard Miller and Shirley Miller Flack. She grew up in Davis and lived in Woodland for the past 25 years.

Linda began her career at the Yolo County Probation Department as a juvenile case worker, and later specialized in child protection with the Employment and Social Services Department. She earned much recognition within the Office of Revenue and Reimbursement (now known as Yolo County Collection Services) where she created a program to assist with collections and enable debtors to be financially evaluated to determine their ability to pay while sustaining living necessities. She retired in 2007 from a remarkable career after 33 years of service to Yolo County.

Linda had a loving heart, an adventurous spirit, and a wicked sense of humor.

She is survived by her brother, Ed Miller; sister Rita Elsey; nieces Margaret and Emily; nephew Blair; and her many loving friends, who will forever be touched by the impact she had on their lives.

No services are planned. Please donate to Yolo Hospice or a charity of your choice.
