Stone, Louise

Aug. 7, 1926 — April 28, 2013

Surrounded by her family, Louise Stone passed away at the age of 86 on the afternoon of April 28, 2013, in Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Bob.

She was born in San Francisco, grew up in Los Angeles, and attended Pomona College where she and Bob met. They married in 1947 and moved to Chico in 1953 to raise their family. Bob passed away in 1983. Louise became active in hospice, was a Life Master bridge player, enjoyed gardening, traveling, her pets, and most of all her family and friends. In 2005 Louise moved to Davis to be near her children, and enjoyed her new friends and activities here for the past eight years.

She is survived by her son Rob (Andrea), daughter Susan, sister Frances, brother Ralph (Rosemary), and several nieces and their families.

Louise was a gracious, loving, and kind person. She will be missed by all who knew her. A family gathering will be held in her honor.
