Lucile Hattie Schick died on Thursday, April 10, 2014 in Phoenix, Arizona.

She was born on June 11, 1924, to Carl and Hattie Schleck in Oak Park, Illinois. Lucile graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in chemistry. She worked as a chemist for Kraft Food company, and shook the hand of J.L. Kraft when she started. She later earned a teaching degree and moved to the Marysville area in California to teach chemistry and math.

Lucile attended the Catholic Alumni Club dances in Sacramento, and there met her future husband, Frank Schick. They were married at the ages of 39 and 40, and moved to Davis where they lived thereafter and raised their their children.

Lucile attended Mass regularly and served the parish of St. James as a lector and by bringing holy communion to her neighbors and residents of the local nursing homes. Lucile liked playing bridge, watching Cubs baseball and Northwestern football, dancing, serving her parish, and traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed solitaire and Sudoku, and was a regular at the Davis Senior Center Bridge Club.

She is succeeded by her three children and four grandchildren. She will be missed.

Friends and family attended a memorial service and reception on Monday, June 30, at St. James Church, in Davis.
