Nancy Clark Otter lost her battle with ovarian cancer on March 30, 2013, and will be greatly missed.

She was born March 6, 1951, to the late John and Jeanette Otter in Carmel.  She grew up in Carmel Valley, received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Sonoma State University, and was a longtime resident of Davis.

Nancy worked with the California State Parks, including Sacramento State Capital Museum, and was involved with the Davis Arboretum and Cache Creek habitat restoration. She specialized in interpreting natural history, and was especially knowledgeable about native plants and culture. She was always learning, and spread her enthusiasm to those around her.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Ada Otter, as well as her siblings Lee Otter, Sue Bruneau, John Otter Jr., Robert Otter and Alice Fontes.
