Nora Pontillo
Oct. 16, 1922 — May 12, 2012
Nora “Peach” Pontillo died Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Vacaville. Born Oct. 16, 1922 in Detroit, she was 89.
Peach’s beautiful smile, her sense of humor and her spunky nature will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Michael; her three adoring daughters Marie Dukesherer of San Pedro, Susan (Bill) Andrews of Davis and Sara (Bryan) Baker of Martina Franca, Italy; five granddaughters, Cara (Andy) Harris, Emily (Ryan) Mills, Angela (Chris) Castle, Allison (Pedro) Olivo, Julia (Daniel) Schroeder; and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Rita Hoffman of Santa Rosa, and a large extended family.
Her family wishes to thank the staff at Davis Healthcare Center for their loving care for the past two years.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at Saint James Catholic Church, 1275 B St. in Davis. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation in Peach’s memory be made to the Society of Saint Vincent De Paul, Saint James Conference, 1275 B Street, Davis, CA 95616.
