Norman E. Wanek

Norman E. Wanek passed away in his sleep on March 15, 2011, at his Danville home of 51 years.

Norm is survived by his devoted daughter, Maria Sargent of Davis; beloved grandsons, Kent and Kevin Sargent of Davis; brother Bernie Wanek of Burbank; and sister Mary Hall (Don) of Fallbrook. He was preceded in death by his brother Joe, sister Marguerite, cherished daughter Cristina and loving wife of 63 years, Consuelo.

In retirement, Norm and Connie led active lives and enjoyed traveling. He enjoyed skiing and scuba diving until age 86 with his daughter and grandsons.

Private interment will be at the Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery, in Dixon.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to honor Norm’s memory to the Diablo Bonsai Club, 2550 Camino Tassajara Road, Danville, CA 94506; or St. Vincent de Paul , 2601 San Ramon Valley Blvd, San Ramon, CA 94583.
