I’m sending donations elsewhere

I had been thinking about contributing to the campus recently, as my finances have improved.

However, due to the recent actions by Chancellor Linda Katehi and UC Davis Police Chief Annette Spicuzza in permitting Lt. John Pike to illegally pepper-spray students, the funding will not be forthcoming.

I fear that this illegal activity against students exercising their right to free speech and peaceful assembly will cause UC Davis to incur large court costs in the future. My funds will be sent to some other educational institution.

I am sending this to fellow alumni and my legislators in the hopes that the three above-named will be held personally responsible for any costs the university incurs in their defense.
