State deserves to take the blame
Those gullible UC Davis students in the Occupy Davis group illustrate their ignorance by blaming the University of California Administration for tuition hikes.
What the university does in this area is controlled by the state government’s budget and finances. Why do we have such underfunding for California’s higher education institutions and other state services? Look no further than the Republican Party in this state, the legislators who want to starve state government, including higher education.
Those Occupy Davis student should register to vote and vote Democratic in the coming elections if they want a better break for UC students.

Sandra,
I would love, LOVE to vote for Democrats in 2012. Or really anyone who can give us an honest accounting and be worthy of public trust.
But I don’t want to vote for Democrats like Obama or Feinstein who look as bad as the Republicans. They are really even worse, as they are blocking out a true voice from the Left to make a distorted compromise.
I demand to be treated like a grown-up. At my job, when we are deciding whether or not to embark on a project, we do our due dilligence to look at the complete cost benefit, including non monetary costs. Why do we not expect that from our politicians?
Those on the Left are told “If you don’t vote for Obama, you will get something worse!” Those on the Right are told “If you don’t vote for Bush, you will get something worse!” For once in my life, I would like to vote FOR someone and have that matter. Not this BS consensus where those on one side alternately praise or damn not based on the actual policy but based on which team they play for.
Thank you for your time
