De Luna Jewelers

By From page C2 | July 31, 2014

Richard and Kyoko Luna have been purveyors of fine jewelry and appraisal services for 48 years — since 1967.

At De Luna Jewelers, 521 Second St. in Davis, Kyoko is the financial officer, jewelry designer and buyer, and Richard is the appraiser, designer and buyer.

“We provide unique merchandise for the lover and collector,” Richard says. “To own any business, a person must be capable of being a janitor, jeweler and bookkeeper, and be fiscally responsible and a good manager of people.”

“We offer a wide variety of jewelry options and jewelry restoration services. We specialize in colored stones, both for the casual wearer or collector. We have also been involved in Native American and folk art, specializing in pottery and jewelry from master craftsmen of the Southwest.”

They’ve also expanded their estate jewelry collection.

“Our employees are graduates or currently attending the Gemological Institute of America and The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts,” he says.

“We have been voted Best Jewelers in Yolo County 20 years in a row,” Richard says, adding, “We give a lot back to the community.”
