What could go better with a classic holiday film, than and a meal to match?
The Davis Food Co-op and the Stephens Branch Library have created “Watch the Book, Then Cook the Book — Film to Food Project.”
This holiday season, enjoy an exclusive film screening of the holiday classic portraying Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, “Little Women.” Along with the film, the Co-op will present a cooking class based on foods depicted in novel.
“Join us as we partner with the Davis Food Co-op to bring three popular pastimes — fiction, film and food — together for the holidays,” said Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong. “Get inspired to start your own tradition!”
The film will be screened from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, followed by the “Little Women” Cooking Class from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. Both events are held in the Blanchard Room of the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. in Davis. The Blanchard Room is accessible for persons with disabilities. Presented by the Yolo County Library, all programs are free and no reservations are required.
