* Sturgeon Exhibit
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
White and green sturgeon are native fish species of high conservational and economic interest to California. Many scientists at UCD are currently working on research areas to provide better information to manage these valuable resources.

* Laboratory Animal Display
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Building A
Play with young rats and learn about the exciting field of laboratory animal research.

* ANS 194 Hormone Induced Lactation Project
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
ANS 194 presents cows hormonally induced to lactate.

* Petting Zoo
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Children can pet farm animals: calves, lambs, and goats.

* Animal Science

Come to Cole Facility to see the animal-science research and teaching displays.

*Hand Milking of Dairy Cows

General Public learns about how milk is produced from information on posters. Opportunity to hand milk a dairy cow.

*Animal Biotechnology & Transgenic Goats Display
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Building A
Extract DNA from green peas! Pet live transgenic goats! Visit the Animal Biotechnology Display!

*Painted Horse
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A live display of equine muscular anatomy painted onto a horse.

*Ranch Kid Olympics
11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Come learn to rope and see how good of a ranch hand you are!

*Goat Milking
Noon to 3 p.m.
Try goat milking! You will have an opportunity to milk one of UC Davis’s dairy goats. Please be in line by 3pm to avoid disappointment.

*Horse Breeding Demonstration
1 to 2 p.m.; Horse Barn area
Breeding demonstration of horses including collection and artificial insemination.

*Rodeo Event Demo
2 to 2:30 p.m.; horse barn area
Come experience a demonstration of the Rodeo’s heart pounding events.

*Draft Horses in Action
2:30 to 3 p.m.
Draft Horse and Driving Club will demonstrate many different uses of the draft horse.

*Norcal Boxer Rescue

NorCal Boxer Rescue provides a temporary sanctuary for Boxers in need throughout California.

*Northern California Weimaraner Rescue Public Information Booth

Visit the Northern California Weimaraner Rescue booth and meet a real gray ghost in person!

*NorCal Sheltie Rescue

Information about Sheltie rescue with live shelties and volunteers to educate and inform picnic day attendees.

Come visit Old English Sheepdogs and get a logo tattoo! They are fun and lovable.

*Sea Otter Conservation

Come feel real sea otter pelts, learn about conservation issues, and color an otter face!

*Shelter Medicine Club

Come learn about the Shelter Medicine Program at UC Davis and purchase a T-shirt to support us!

*Newfoundland Dog info

Newfoundland Dog information about health issues, temperament, and training.

*Great Pyrenees Rescue

Great Pyrenees Rescue of Northern California will show you how to share your home with a 100 lb gentle giant.

*Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue Information Table
10 a.m to 4 p.m.
Homeward Bound Golden Retriever Rescue & Sanctuary rescues and heals displaced, abandoned, and homeless golden retrievers and golden mixes throughout all of CA.

*American Brittany Rescue
10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Meet our dogs and volunteers—learn about our rescue work and Brittanys.

*Pit Bull Kissing and Education Booth
10: 30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Get kissed by a Pit Bull and learn all about this misunderstood breed.

*Bay Racers Flyball Racing
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Flyball matches two teams of four dogs each racing side-by-side. Each dog must run down the jumps, trigger a flyball boc, releasing the ball, retrieve the ball, and return over the jumps. The first team to have all four dogs finish the course without error wins the heat.

*Mickaboo Companion Bird Rescue
10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Learn about companion bird rescue and how you can help or adopt a bird!

*Oiled Wildlife Simulation
10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Come learn about helping oiled wildlife and test your tracking skills by matching animals and their footprints!

*CMC Frisbee Dog Competition
11 a.m. to 2 p.m.Cheer on canine high-fliers as they show off their skills at this exciting annual competition.

*K9 Search and Rescue—Meet CARDA teams

What does it take to be a search dog? Learn about CARDA, meet the dogs.

Sacramento City Animal Care provides benefits to the community: pet food bank, spay/neuter, adoption.

Come and watch some of the best border collies in the country herd sheep.

Representative from the EEB major will display some of our biosphere’s diversity of organisms as related to the EEB major.
