While the UC Davis men’s tennis team loved its ecent time down in San Diego — a five-day stretch of action that ended with a 5-2 win over Boston College on Monday — it wasn’t exactly a vacation.
The Aggies put in work.
After posting nine victories in the Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Tournament, including a run to the Round of 16 by Adam Levie and Toki Sherbakov, the locals won two straight dual matches on Sunday and Monday.
UCD (6-6) blanked Villanova on Sunday behind singles and doubles wins from Kyle Miller, Adam Luba, George Horowitz and Brett Bacharach.
Then, in a match played on Monday at UC San Diego — where Aggie head coach Eric Steidlmayer worked for 14 seasons — the locals beat Boston College by taking the doubles point and winning four singles encounters.
In that match, Aggies got wins in singles and doubles from Sherbakov, Levie, Miller and Luba.
