Oscar Sepulveda, a standout senior two-way lineman for Davis High last fall, will put on the pads one last time as a prep player.

Sepulveda was selected to represent the Blue Devils on the East squad for the upcoming 41st annual High School All-Star Football Game.

The contest is set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Napa Memorial Stadium.

Sepulveda — a 6-foot-3, 260-pound tackle — helped clear holes for DHS running backs all season and, on defense, made 11 tackles including a key sack in the Devils’ strong performance against Elk Grove. But according to coaches, it was his leadership that was really set him apart.

“On the field, he has been big for us … both ways. And in the locker room he’s definitely a leader,” Davis offensive line coach Charles Johnson told The Enterprise during the fall. “Off the field, he is caring … a really nice guy.”

Sepulveda’s East team is coached by Daniel Ward of Winters and a group of assistants that includes former Blue Devil quarterback David Butterworth.

Door open at 6 p.m. for the game. General-admission tickets are $12 each.
