As the boys water polo season winds down, Davis High is making the most of its final games.
The Blue Devils hosted Ponderosa at Arroyo Pool on Wednesday, and blasted the Bruins from start to finish in a 15-4 victory.
DHS led 7-0 at the end of one period, was comfortably ahead 11-1 at half and held a 13-2 advantage at the end of three quarters to improve to 15-11 with just one regular season contest left.
Tre Moynihan powered the Devils with four goals, while Connor Stapleton and Graham Fullerton each scored three times.
ÒTre Moynihan had a strong game,Ó Davis head coach Tracy Stapleton said. ÒAnd freshman Graham Fullerton continues to make steady progress at the varsity level.Ó
Wade Allen added two goals for the Blue Devils, who got one each from Brandon Rueda, Noah Friedman and Paul Dailey to complete the scoring.
DHS has one last tune-up before the Sac Joaquin Section playoffs, a 5 p.m. game at Rio Americano today.
