Cats can’t score in Salt Lake

By From page B1 | June 19, 2013

The Sacramento River Cats were blanked by the Salt Lake Bees, 10-0, on Tuesday night at Spring Mobile Ballpark.

In getting shut out for just the third time this season, the Cats managed only three hits. One of them, however, was a double by Michael Taylor. It was his 402nd career hit as a River Cat, breaking Sacramento’s franchise record.

Daric Barton and Hiroyuki Nakajima had the other Cats hits, while Scott Moore reached base three times, all on walks.

Sacramento starter Bruce Billings (8-4), who entered Tuesday’s game as the PCL win leader, failed to get out of the fourth inning.
