With just one match going more than two sets, the Davis High boys tennis team continued its undefeated run through the Delta Valley Conference with a 9-0 home victory over Elk Grove on Monday.

Perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins from No. 6 singles player Chase Kellison and the No. 2 doubles squad — Chris Chinn and Sam Yoder — highlighted the day for the Blue Devils. DHS also got convincing straight-set triumphs from its other two doubles duos, Sean Maroney/Manraj Gill and Kenneth Chow/Brendan Zhu.

In singles play, Devil Isaac Yee dropped the opening set 6-1 before regrouping to beat the Thundering Herd’s No. 1 player, 6-2, 6-4 in the next two.

Davis’ Phil Glazer cruised to a 6-2 victory in his first set at No. 2 before being pushed in a 7-6, second-set win. Isaac Zhang prevailed, 6-4, 6-4 at No. 3.

Easy victories from Scott Lucio (6-1, 6-0) at No. 4 and Tris Dutta (6-1, 6-2) at No. 5 rounded out the day for the Blue Devils, who travel to Franklin for a Wednesday DVC match (3:45 p.m.).
