Devil boys continue playoffs tonight

By
November 8, 2010 |

\n

Thanks to a soggy Yudin Field at Davis High, the Blue Devils will play today\’s Sac-Joaquin Section boys soccer playoff game against Pleasant Grove at 7 p.m. at Ron & Mary Brown Stadium.

\n

No admission will be charged, according to DHS Athletic Director Dennis Foster.

\n

Davis (23-3-2) is the Delta Valley Conference champion and is coming off of a 6-0 victory

\n

over Oak Ridge in round 2 of the playoffs on Thursday.

\n

The Eagles (15-4-3) are the Delta River League runner-up and recently eliminated Napa from the postseason, 2-1.

\n

DVC teams Elk Grove, Franklin, Laguna Creek and Monterey Trail all fell to Pleasant Grove in nonleague play, but the Eagles couldn\’t get past Jesuit in the DRL, losing 5-0 and 4-2. The Devils dropped a 2-1 decision to Jesuit last month.
