The Davis High School snowboard team opened its season on a cold and clear day at Northstar at Tahoe on Monday.
The varsity girls team, powered by seniors Allie Loux (sixth), Codie Kaminsky (eighth), Annie Hanson (12th) and Lillian Krovoza (13th) had a combined score of 245 points, landing the team second in the girls’ division.
All of the qualifying DHS girls finished in the top half of the field, including Lauren Kim (15th), Monica Lopez-Iscas (16th), Brittney Gingerrich-Brooks (19th), Kayla Robinson (22nd) and Rizzie Vermont (23rd).
