I enjoyed your thorough coverage of the Saturday's Sacramento Track and Field Meet of Champions. It certainly was better than the coverage by the Sac Bee that rarely covers Track and Field. I am surprised you had enough space to write about track and field AND include a story on football, which is not even in season. The out-of-season football story was almost as good as the story you did on the track team's off-season training.

Sounds like DHS football is focusing now on a successful football program with the new coaching staff. Good to hear. Maybe we can now focus on restructuring the DHS basketball program and replacing the 14 year losing coach with a coach that actually knows how to win and develop a successful basketball program. Hire a basketball staff that has basketball experience - anyone check those resumes lately? I believe the only coach that has a basketball resume is the freshman coach. I think it's time for the basketball program to do what the football program has done and hire coaches based on their resume & experience - not politics or popularity.
