Franklin JV squad tops DHS

In a game that was closer than the final score reflects, the Davis High junior varsity football team lost, 35-16, at Franklin on Friday.

Blue Devil tailback Kevin Sorensen powered through an injury to break off runs of 48 and 65 yards Ñ the later going for a touchdown Ñ and finish with 120 yards in the game.

But the Blue Devils could not slow the Wildcats, who went up 21-3 just minutes into the second half. Even a 70-yard kickoff return by Anthony Herrera could not bring DHS back.

Thomas May hit an early field goal for Davis and J.C. Navazio added six tackles.
