Help the Devils break more records

By From page B1 | February 01, 2013

The Davis High boys basketball team has broken the program’s single-game points record three times this season — four if you count a scoring correction to the current benchmark of 134 points in a Jan. 19 win over Valley Christian.

Now, it’s the Blue Devil fans’ turn to set a new mark as DHS hosts Break the Record Night at the North Gym on Friday.

With Laguna Creek in town at 7 p.m. for a key Delta Valley Conference matchup, Devil supporters are invited to come out and bring friends as the school will try to top the record of 1,119 fans set in 2010.

At 14-9 overall and 4-3 in DVC play, the local boys are in the midst of a push for a playoffs and a win over the first-place Cardinals (14-10, 5-2) would be huge.

Also Friday, the DHS girls (19-4) — who are on top of the league standings at 6-1 — head to Laguna Creek for a 7 p.m. contest.
