Keys to the game for DHS football

By From page B8 | October 24, 2013

When the Blue Devils have the ball: Run the ball effectively. The running game has sputtered in recent weeks and to get back on track Winfred Roberson needs to see at least 20 touches this game and Talek Deary needs to see at least 10. They are two of the Blue Devils’ most electrifying players and need tries to have an impact on this game.

When the Cardinals have the ball: Stay disciplined. As coach Marc Hicks said, the Blue Devils must eliminate mental mistakes. Jumping offside is free yardage, and it keeps the defense on the field for longer periods of time, something that the Devils cannot afford to do.
