For the first time since Nov. 17, 2012, the UC Davis women’s volleyball team did not win a game on Thursday, falling in a three-set sweep to UC Santa Barbara at The Pavilion.

The Aggies (14-12, 6-7 Big West Conference) lost by a total of 10 points in the 25-21, 25-23, 25-23 defeat.

For UCD, senior Devon Damelio posted a double-double of 13 kills and 12 digs, junior middle blocker Victoria Lee added 9-1-19 hitting for a .421 average and senior setter Jenny Woolway and junior libero Megan Lancaster each posted 15 digs. Junior middle blocker Katie Quinn made her return from injury, recording six blocks on net defense.

The Aggies led in each set, including opening the match on an 8-3 run, but eventually the Gauchos (14-9, 9-2) had too much firepower.

Next up for UCD is another Big West home match. Cal Poly is at The Pavilion at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
