The U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame is accepting nominations through April 1 for the Class of 2014.
Four categories are available for induction into the national shrine, based in Davis at 303 Third St.
Visit www.usbhof.org/nomination-process to discover how to submit packets suggesting cycling contributors in modern road and track (1981-2009), veteran road and track (1980 and before), off-road competitor (mountain bike, BMX, cyclocross) and contributor to the sport of cycling.
Completed forms should be submitted at the website, according to organization spokeswomen Sabrina Vigil.
Those interested in trying out for next school year’s Blue Devil cheer squad — and a parent or guardian — should attend one of two upcoming information nights at DHS Library.
The meetings are set for 6 p.m. on Monday, April 7, and Thursday, April 10.
Tryouts will be Friday, April 18, beginning at 4:30 p.m. in the DHS dance room, but cheer hopefuls are asked to arrive by 4 p.m. for check-in.
