Sports briefs: DHS alumni hoops games are Saturday
Fans are invited to come watch the Davis High boys and girls basketball teams take on former Blue Devil players in a series of alumni games on Saturday at the DHS gym.
The Davis girls team will open the event by taking on former Devil girls at 2 p.m., before the older male alums will face the DHS junior varsity boys squad at 3:15 p.m. More recent grads will end the day by playing against the Blue Devil varsity boys team at 4 p.m.
Boys indoor lacrosse
Boys in grade nine through 12 who wish to keep playing lacrosse during the winter months should register for the Winter Indoor League, which will feature games in Woodland this December and January.
Athletes are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. The deadline is Sunday and space is limited to 40 players, according to league director Adam Kenney. Cost is $120.
The games will be each Sunday, Dec. 2-16 and Jan. 6-27.
